JustRights has responded to the Department of Health's consultation on Care and Support guidelines by welcoming new duties on local authorities to provide information, advice and advocacy services.

Our response calls for the final guidance to require information, advice and advocacy services to be age-appropriate and include specific provision for children and young people.

We also believe the guidelines need to be far more robust about the need for information, advice and advocacy services to be independent from local authorities.
