We have received a letter from Shailesh Vara, minister responsible for legal aid, in response to our demands for reconsideration of the Government's failure to protect children and young people from the effects of its current legal aid changes.  

Unfortunately the letter signals no fresh concessions but rather restates the exisitng Government position.
